440 space startups fuel India's $40–45B space economy boom
India's registered space startups grew from 1 in 2014 to about 440 by August 2026, with 18 startups among 52 non-government entities holding authorisations for satellite, payload and launch services. A single-window regulator and 71 ISRO technology transfers are lowering the barriers for founders entering a $40–45 billion market.
