    Jamaica FSC says crypto licence on Telegram is not authentic

A document titled "Crypto Trading & Partnership License" has circulated on Telegram and Instagram, the Gleaner reported, and the FSC said the paper was not produced by the commission and grants nothing. The commission said the VASP Act, 2026 is not yet in force, so Jamaica currently has no regime for licensing or supervising virtual-asset businesses.

    1. The FSC said in a notice on October 26, 2026 that Cassandra Rose and Cassandra Profit Lab are not licensed to work as a securities dealer or an investment adviser in Jamaica.
    2. The commission said no similarly named person or entity is registered with it, or with any other Jamaican authority, as a virtual asset services provider.
    3. A document titled "Crypto Trading & Partnership License", carrying a licence number and purporting to bear the FSC executive director's signature, has circulated on Telegram and Instagram, the Gleaner reported; the FSC said the paper did not originate with the commission and grants nothing.
    4. The FSC said any document bearing its name or seal, or its executive director's signature, in connection with the named persons is not authentic.
    5. The Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, 2026 received assent on October 20, 2026 but has not entered into force, the FSC said.
